Pat Gallagher’s Rest Awhile is located on the historic lakefront in Mandeville, LA. We were presented with the interesting opportunity of creating a brand for a family name that has been known for decades, but had no visual identity. “Gallaghers” is well known - but what do you think of when the name is mentioned? That’s where my work comes in.
Branding Research & Discovery
With a prime location on Lake Pontchartrain’s shore, Pat’s Rest Awhile embodies a coastal, seafood focused getaway oasis. The fully restored grounds now hold a beautiful estate, fully equipped to host all varieties of parties.
I wanted the fresh seafood that comes from the lake and nearby Gulf of Mexico to be forwardly focused - because at the end of the day, it’s the seafood that makes the world go round.
Visual Brand, Defined
Focusing on the seafare and nautical influences of Mandeville, I felt it important to make sure that the brand held a yacht club influence.
*Personalized illustrations were also created for the brand.
A Rare Sub Brand
Pat’s Rest Awhile houses Sophie Tavern - a removed whiskey bar on the property. For the client, we were requested to create a separate but similar brand for Sophie’s to call their own.
